Theologian Fred Craddock talks of three different times we know an event – before, during, and after. In each, we experience it differently. Before an event, it’s easy to down play the importance of what is coming. During an event, so much happens so fast it’s hard to make sense of it all. After an event, we can see more clearly the importance and make sense of it all through reflection. In Confluence, we spent some time talking, praying, and singing through these ideas to create space for all that we are in right now.
